"I heard Derek play at a Humane Society function in May and absolutely had to have him! My date - and location - kept changing all summer long (long story) and he was SO patient and very gracious about all the emails I sent!

He played absolutely beautifully, worked hard to find the music for a piece I particularly wanted...He came very early to set up (which was a huge relief to me, because I was unexpectedly a bundle of nerves that morning), he was relaxed, charming...and I think, when all was said and done, he may have played for longer than we paid him for! I really wish we could have had him all day.

I have to add that it was freezing cold - six degrees - and he was playing outside until after the ceremony (when he very quickly and discreetly moved and set up indoors). I can't say enough about Derek - he was great. I can't imagine my wedding without him!

(So Derek, if you're reading this, thank you again. And I'm so sorry we weren't able to feed you!)"

"Derek was very accommodating - came to our place after work one day with his guitar before we signed with him. Immediately decided to go with him. We weren't interested in the typical ceremony music, and Derek was able to come up with other choices. (Processionial: Love me Tender; Signing: Something; Recessional: Feelin' Groovy). He played beautifully, just beautifully. A definate recommend. Excellent communication skills and a really, really nice guy. Not to mention an excellent guitarist. He had had his haircut since we first met with him, and he looks like a real cutie. My only negative comment about Derek is that he didn't, as requested, fall in love with one of my single friends and marry them. How annoying."
